Agrarian Voices Study Fall 2025 session
Readings in Agriculture: An Agrarian Literature Survey
- October 2 – November 6, THURSDAYS
- Saturday, November 8 Kentucky Arts and Letters Day
This study course follows in the footsteps of the “Readings in Agriculture” class Wendell Berry taught when he was a college professor. As his former student Morris Grubbs describes it, the course used a variety of literature (farming texts, poetry, and prose) to understand the connections between nature and culture.
Participants complete the majority of the self-paced coursework at home, on their own time. They expand their learning in Henry County, Kentucky, through group discussions, lectures, and a humanities field day.
For the Fall Session, the humanities field day is Kentucky Arts and Letters Day, and reserved space is included. This community education program is open to all– from urban to rural and from those who farm to people who support farmers. *Limit 20 participants.
Cost $150*
*discounted pricing for farmers and residents of Henry County
